Varibox CVT Invention Up for 2017 Design Award
Varibox CVT Technologies' pioneering continuously variable transmission (CVT) invention, the RADIALcvt, is in the running for an international design award at this year's Tech Briefs Create the Future Design Contest where it will compete alongside a host of other new engineering innovations from cross the world.
The RADIALcvt enjoys a variety of fundamental advantages that set it apart from current CVT's in the automotive industry, making it a cost effective and high mechanical efficiency CVT solution.
The innovation is competing in the automotive/transportation category of the Tech Briefs Create the Future Design 2017 Contest.
Online voting is open until September 8, 2017 for this annual competition which has attracted more than 12,000 product design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs and students worldwide since its inauguration. Innovators competing in the 2017 contest are drawn from over 60 countries.
Launched in 2002 by publishers of NASA Tech Briefs magazine, the objective of the Tech Briefs Create the Future Design Contest is to stimulate and reward engineering innovation. The competition is open for product designs which are not yet in production or which were introduced to the commercial market during the last 12 months.
