RADIALcvt Commercialisation On Course: As Varibox Makes Inroads in China

Commercialisation efforts for the RADIALcvt, Varibox's new continuously variable transmission (CVT) innovation have received a timely boost following a recent announcement of an impending cooperation deal between the South African intellectual property company and a new Chinese partner.

Negotiations for a partnership between Varibox CVT Technologies Ltd. and the Chinese partner started during the 2017 edition of the Zhejiang Recruitment Program for Global Experts, which was held in Keqiao, Zhejiang province, China, between June 8 and 9. Varibox Managing Director, Dr Jan Naude was invited and attended the conference.

Announcing the proposed agreement, Dr Naude said the arrangement will help accelerate the RADIALcvt's development and expedite the new innovation's introduction to the global commercial market.

Short term benefits for Varibox will include marketing and promotion within the Chinese markets through efforts from the Chinese partner.

 Varibox CVT Technologies MD Jan Naude was amongst 13 international experts invited to the 2017 leg of the Shaoxing Industrial Park of Zhejiang Recruitment Program for Global Experts conference along with other renowned global specialists from Israel, USA, Japan, Ukraine and Australia.

The Recruitment Program of Global Experts (also known as "The Thousand Talents Plan") was launched in 2008 as a part of the Chinese government's high priority policy of engaging, recruiting and collaborating with strategic foreign experts and innovators to promote breakthroughs in key technologies, high-tech industries and emerging disciplines.
